Spending leisurely time in a cigar lounge is one of those experiences that you savor and remember. The high end, luxurious atmosphere of a good cigar lounge will have you never wanting to leave.
If the world were a cigar lounge, the dress code would be suits and cocktail dresses and the lights would always be soft and low. Every pocket and handbag would be prepared with a guillotine and a box of matchess. There would be plumes of various smokes coming from each individual person as they socialized from one end of the lounge to the other. Each smoke scent, a sort of signature of the different kinds of cigars from across the world made with varying materials and in varying ways. The seals on the cigars like tiny works of art that’re small enough only to be appreciated at conversational distance. Each conversation cluster would have a cloud over it, a one of a kind smell made up of the mellow and full aromas of each person’s cigar. These aromas might be able to tell you a bit about who is talking to who if you have a clever enough sense of smell.
Everyone would have a cocktail glass with their preference of whiskey, scotch, cognac, or really any choice of liquor they wanted. People would play billiards for friendly competitions, allowing them to make close alliances and friendly rivals. Problem solving would be done over a good brandy near a well stocked humidor and the luxurious atmosphere would defuse all the tension.
It’s nice to fantasize about a world that looks and feels like a cigar lounge. Sadly, it can’t be so. But even though an entire world of cocktails in the haze of a softly lit, smokey cigar lounge isn’t possible, it’s nice to know that there are little pieces of that fantasy in cigar lounges all across the globe.
