Espada by Montecristo Signature

The story of Montecristo Espada is incredibly fascinating. Recently, Montecristo and renowned tobacco grower and cigar maker Nestor Plasencia joined forces in a partnership. This allowed Montecristo's expert blending team, known as the "Grupo de Maestros," to have full access to Plasencia's highly-regarded library of tobaccos and state-of-the-art factory. The Grupo de Maestros spent several months creating a unique blend that differs from any other Montecristo before it. The end result was a Nicaraguan puro bursting with bold flavors, worthy of the prestigious Montecristo name. Aptly named "sword," Espada utilizes Plasencia's special tobacco collection, along with a beautiful 2010 Habano wrapper from Jalapa, Nicaragua. Underneath lies an all-Nicaraguan blend of well-aged long-fillers from Jalapa, Ometepe, and Condega that were carefully chosen for their strength, flavor, or body.
