Following the success of the Liga Privada No. 9, Drew Estate set out to find a more robust successor. As described by Jonathan Drew, the cigar's wrapper was discovered by chance during a trip to Connecticut to examine broadleaf tobaccos. A local farmer was cultivating a leaf known as "American Habano," but it was costly to grow properly as it required a stalk-cut process. Nevertheless, Drew took a risk and invested in this unique wrapper, giving birth to the T52 blend (after undergoing an extensive blending process). Similar to its predecessor, the T52 is crafted from tobacco leaves sourced from 7 different farms, resulting in a rich and complex smoke. These special cigars are hand-rolled only by skilled torcedors (cigar rollers), ensuring top-notch quality.
