Illusione is a boutique brand that has earned the distinction of being #7 in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 Cigars of 2007. Its creator, Dion Giolito, was striving to recreate a vintage taste profile. Thanks to the legendary grower Arsenio Ramos from Cuba and his collaborators Fernano, Chandito and Cuban agronomist Jacinto, these old Somoza fields from Jalapa Valley and Esteli region have been neglected no more! Now they are regrown to produce their highest quality tobacco again. All Illusione cigars are handcrafted from the original Corojo ’99 and Criollo ’98 seeds accompanied by grade one Café Colorado wrapper and sealed with a precisely applied triple cap. The end result is an exquisite smoke rarely found in the modern market; its quality further ensured by small-batch production. Aging them up only increases their flavor!
