In 2012, Esteban Carreras cigars introduced the "Esteban Carreras Chupacabra," named after the infamous creature from Central American folklore that has frightened children for generations. However, for adults, this name represents a superb medium to full-bodied cigar made entirely of Nicaraguan tobacco. These cigars are available in a choice of either dark brown Habano Oscuro or darker Maduro wrapper. They are rolled with a closed foot and a pigtail head, and packaged in 20 or 10 count boxes. The blend starts off slowly but gradually increases in flavor and strength, offering hints of wood, spice, coffee, chocolate and robust pepper on the finish.
